If you think carbon costs are just another expense of doing business – think again!

How do we plan given that emissions “caps” may become ever more strict ?

Will the Carbon Reduction Laws cause any competitive distortion?

  • Will important stakeholders in the business expect us to reduce our “carbon footprint”?
  • What opportunities are available to achieve reduction of CO2 emissions?
  • What opportunities may be presented through the creation of new markets, new technologies etc.?

The Critical Importance of Low Greenhouse Gas Technologies

Despite the need to slash emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, global demand for energy – particularly fossil fuel energy – is expected to increase rapidly. The International Energy Agency projects that demand for energy globally will increase by more than 50 per cent by 2030, with more than 70 per cent of the increased demand coming from developing countries. It anticipates that fossil fuels will account for 83 per cent of the increased demand, with oil’s share to the total energy mix dropping slightly while coal’s share grows strongly. This is despite increased use of renewable energies and nuclear power generation.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change believes that technological advances and technology transfer will be critical to reducing emissions while meeting energy demand.  Technological advances will be required to maximise the effectiveness and reduce the cost of renewable energies and to cut emissions from fossil fuels.

Low Greenhouse Gas Technology

We intend to unleash green investment and jump start a lasting economic recovery, and at the same time we handle the  climate change challenge by reducing Carbon emissions and creating excess Carbon Quotas that can be converted to cash to finance the costs of implementing Carbon reduction activities.  This is the entire intent of Climate Change laws – do something about reducing emissions and sell the free excess quotas to pay for it.

We rank in the Number One spot on Google search engine results for many keywords associated with Climate Change technology.  For example. this means that 95+ % of all global “CO2 Emissions Reduction” web traffic visits one of our websites.  We are the global experts for what’s going on in our market place.  Here’s the proof – some screenshots of our pre-eminent market positioning and advertising capability click here.

We aim to be successful in creating entirely new and much needed industries to reduce Green House Gas and Climate Change emissions including Carbon (CO2 ) gas emission reduction technology applications.

Existing and New Emissions Trading Schemes Compliance

CCUP specializes in ensuring company executives and project owners are able to comply with existing and new Carbon Cap & Trade Schemes and accompanying mandatory regulatory compliance obligations.

CO2 Emissions Project Management Process

With a global network of Strategic Alliance Partners CCUP works with project owners and developers throughout the emission reduction creation process, from initial assessments, developing full project documentation, steering the project through formal approval processes, and monitoring and verifying greenhouse gas reductions.

As a project developer for retrofits or new projects, CCUP contracts with the owners of assets to decrease their existing or planned CO2 emissions and agrees to finance, provide technology and retrofit existing plant, or build and operate new projects

CCUP will then contract with project owners and developers to implement a staged program of CO2 emissions reduction by supplying appropriate technology to continually lower emissions, and purchase these emission reductions at a fixed price over a period of time.

Project Development and Financing

CCUP can provide integrated finance, technology and development capabilities to CO2 reduction projects in most industrial sectors for all types of fossil fuels, including electricity generation plants fired by coal or natural gas. Capabilities for other Greenhouse Gases reduction includes landfill gas capture and utilization, coal mine methane destruction and N2O abatement.

CO2 Emissions Reduction Consulting Services

CCUP and its global partners have extensive experience in providing organizations in a regulated marketplace with support in bringing emission reduction projects into the market, as well as expert evaluations of GHG positions. CCUP also provides services to companies in anticipation of new carbon nearing Cap & Trade Schemes in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States and India, or developing countries taking advantage of the United Nation’s Clean Development Mechanism to generate Carbon Credits.

CCUP’s GHG Vision – the Ultimate CO2 Reduction Concept

Fuel Flexible Multi Product Energy Plants

Program Performance Goal:
By mid 2012, develop and commercialize the core CO2 Reduction modules for coal fired, natural gas and synthetic gas power stations and fuel-flexible, multi-product energy plants that emit virtually no CO2 or GHG pollutants, and with carbon conversion enabling deep cuts of Facilities emissions below established regulatory “caps” under Emissions trading Cap & Trade Schemes predicted to be operational in the EEC, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Canada and likely India.

CCUP’s GHG Vision is an achievable futuristic Global Warming abatement concept unlike any carbon emissions reduction concept that exists today. Fuel Flexible Multi Product Energy Plants

Under development by CCUP’s Global Clean & Renewable Fuels Energy Technology Strategic Alliances, the concept envisions and is within reach of finalizing virtually pollution-free energy plants.

Distinguished from today’s single purpose power plants that produce only electricity that substantially contribute to Global Warming, a CCUP’s GHG Vision plant would produce near-zero CO2 emissions, and multiple products.

The plants could produce electricity in combination with liquid fuels including gasoline, diesel, and chemicals or hydrogen or industrial

process heat. Actual production capability will depend on the fuel stock used in these fuel flexible plants.

Fuel Flexible Multi Product Energy Plants

Fuel flexible means it would not be restricted to a single fuel type; instead, it could process a wide variety of fuels such as coal, natural gas, biomass, petroleum coke (from oil refineries), and municipal waste.

It would generate electricity at a very high rate of efficiency, and coupled with carbon conversion technologies, it would emit little if any greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

Additionally it is feasible that existing motion generated within plants could be harnessed to generate even more turbine duplication of energy output without consuming greater amounts of fuel or the increase in GHG emissions.

Fuel Flexible Multi Product Energy Plants

CCUP’s GHG Vision, when commercialized, could revolutionize the power and fuels industry within the next few years. All the above capabilities exist within technologies included in CCUP’s current Low Greenhouse Gas Technologies Portfolio.

The strategy is the commercial development of a suite of assembled technology at the demonstration stage of development into modules that can be readily interconnected in different varying plant configurations to produce selected products. These modular facilities will include core CO2 Conversion Units and other modules will be capable of using a multiplicity of fuels to efficiently produce numerous energy commodities at efficiencies greater than 65 percent for coal fuel plant, and 70 percent for natural gas fuel plant with near-zero emissions.

Fuel Flexible Multi Product Energy Plants

CCUP’s GHG Vision builds on a portfolio of aggregated technologies successfully past the pre-development stage, including gasification, advanced turbine propulsion motion, and fuels synthesis, and leverages off critical technologies for carbon capture and system integration conceptualizations. When coupled with carbon dioxide conversion, CCUP’s GHG Vision systems could release near-zero net carbon dioxide emissions and have no adverse environmental impacts.

Carbon dioxide capture and cleanup by conversion is cornerstone to achieving stabilization of the Earth’s atmosphere. CCUP’s GHG Vision leverages the carbon capture capability of “carbon sequestration”, but does not rely on sequestration and burial of CO2, rather CO2 is converted into GHG acceptable components.

Fuel Flexible Multi Product Energy Plants

Carbon conversion has emerged to supercede sequestration as the ultimate solution to stabilizing global carbon emissions. A prerequisite to carbon conversion is carbon dioxide capture.

CCUP’s GHG Vision is being implemented through Strategic Alliances and various forms of cooperation involving inventors, industry, universities, and government related space research technologies from the United States, Europe and Australia. It includes completed and continuing commercial product development and process verification at pilot-scale.
